Meet the Makers: Fryette
Steven Fryette builds some of the most sought-after all-tube amplifiers of the last few decades. And his work in independent power amplifiers and attenuation keeps him on top of our ever-changing industry. He is a true giant in our industry.
Fryette’s story started in 1989 in Los Angeles, California. After founding his first amp company, VHT, he quickly made a name for himself with multi-channel designs like the fire breathing Deliverance and Pitbull. These amps raised the bar on all-tube, high-gain amplification. And, thanks to their wide variety of tones, incredible craftsmanship, and precise tonality, A-list players and bands, such as Megadeth, Helmet, Michael Landau, and Steve Lukather, quickly adopted each model.
Fast forward to 2020, and Fryette is working under the Fryette Amplification banner and still crafting many of his most famous designs, including the ever-popular, all-tube Fryette power amps and Power Station attenuator/load box/power amps. And we’re proud to say that Steven Fryette is also a driving force of Synergy Amplification, creating many of the technologies and features that go into every product we offer.
Fryette Pittbull Ultra-Lead
This iconic tone machine amp head dishes out some of the tightest, most thickly distorted all-tube tones in history, making it ideal for players who want every note they play to explode off their fretboard.
The Fryette® Deliverance® (formerly branded VHT®) is the embodiment of Fryette DNA stripped down to its most essential form.
