It all began with Mike’s search for an amp that blends the perfect modded-Marshall sound with extreme versatility and rugged reliability. His first prototype, nicknamed Mr. Science, hit the nail on the head and would evolve into the mighty Soldano Super Lead Overdrive (SLO) 100.

The SLO continues to reign as one of the finest amplifiers ever created. It was the go-to amp of such guitar luminaries as Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Warren Haynes, Mark Knopfler, Gary Moore, and the list goes on. Today, the SLO’s searing overdrive channel makes it one of the premier amp heads in heavy metal. And you’ll still find it and other Soldano amplifiers in every respectable recording studio and backing guitarists across the world.
